"Grillin' with My Grandchild," a new program by Ohio State University Extension, will have Pickaway County grandfathers and their grandchildren grilling lunches together, creating an electronic memory book and having a great time.

The three-session program is free, but space is limited to the first 10 grandfathers who register with one grandchild. Participating grandchildren must be in school grades 5 through 12.

The sessions will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1, Thursday, Aug. 3, and Tuesday, Aug. 8 at the Pickaway County District Public Library, 1160 N. Court St., Circleville.

"This new program is not only informational, but it's designed to create some cherished and lasting memories for grandfathers and their grandchildren," said Jim Bates, OSU professor and Field Specialist with OSU Extension and director of the project.

The "Grillin' with my Grandchild" program is offered in collaboration with Pickaway County Library. Register for this program by calling OSU Extension, Pickaway County at 740-474-7534.

For more information, contact Michelle Treber, Extension Educator, Family and Consumer Sciences, OSU Extension at 740-474-7534 or by email at treber.1@osu.edu.
